Marrybrown Breaks New Ground in Australia Opening Inaugural Outlet Down Under

Our favourite globally-renowned QSR, Marrybrown has expanded its presence to Australia, delighting food lovers with the inauguration of its first Australian outlet in Melbourne on Saturday, 27 May 2023.

This milestone launch signifies Marrybrown’s commitment to international expansion and introduces the vibrancy of Malaysian flavours to the Australian market. Located in Burwood, the outlet offers a tantalising array of Marrybrown’s signature dishes combining authentic Malaysian favourites such as Curry Rice, Fried Rice with MB Crispy Chicken, and Nasi Lemak, alongside beloved Western classics such as the famous crispy chicken, burgers, and other delectable desserts.

The strategic choice of Burwood Shopping Centre as the location for the inaugural outlet stems from its proximity to a thriving student and family community. Marrybrown Expands Global Franchising to Australia at FIM2022

Malaysia’s largest homegrown Halal Quick Serve restaurant (QSR), Marrybrown signed an MOU with CB Connect Pty Ltd to expand its global franchise to Australia during the Franchise International Malaysia (FIM) 2022, held at the KLCC Convention Centre on 8 September 2022.

The MOU signing was between Dato’ Joshua Liew, Chief Executive Officer of Marrybrown and Mr Kevin Chi, owner of CB Connect Pty Ltd. The momentous occasion was witnessed by Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi and Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, YBhg. Datuk Azman bin Mohd Yusof respectively at the event. 

Marrybrown’s decades of franchising expertise coupled with CB Connect’s knowledge of Australia’s insights are key to bringing their well-loved Halal meals to clients in the Australian market.
