Marrybrown’s CSR Initiatives
At Marrybrown, our CSR initiatives reflect more than just corporate responsibility—they are an extension of our values. As Malaysia’s largest homegrown Halal quick-service restaurant chain, we take pride in giving back to the communities that support us. From disaster relief to children’s welfare and sustainability, our goal is to serve smiles not only at the dining table but also in society.
Marrybrown is stepping up to help create a better future for Malaysians with its CSR initiatives. Marrybrown kick-starts Marrybrown Charities Association in 2019 with the purpose to provide help and support for underprivileged children, single mothers, and senior citizens through various charity events.

We are humbled and grateful to share that, through the incredible support of our sponsors, partners, and participants, we have successfully raised over RM400,000 for our charity efforts this year!
These funds will be channelled towards the mission of MB Care, which is dedicated to helping underprivileged and differently-abled children, as well as supporting elderly homes, disaster relief efforts, and health-related charitable causes.

In celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha 1446H, Marrybrown proudly participated in community qurban programmes at two locations — Masjid Khalifah Taman Jaya, Terengganu, and Masjid Jamek Sultan Muhammad II, Kelantan.
As part of our Bersama Molek initiative, we were honoured to be on the ground, working hand in hand with the local community by sponsoring food for all participants, crew, and the dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the events a success.
The strong community turnout at both locations made this meaningful celebration even more special. Together, we honour the values of unity, compassion, and the joy of giving back.
Fostering the spirit of reflection, unity, and generosity amongst Malaysians this Ramadan season, Marrybrown® conducted an annual initiative where 25,000 servings of Bubur Lambuk were graciously distributed to the local community. In line with Marrybrown® ‘s Kasih Ramadan 2025 initiative which was deemed to be a huge success in the previous years, Marrybrown employees launched the initiative by preparing and distributing the Bubur Lambuk on 3 March at Masjid Puncak Alam.
To further engage with wider communities across the nation, Marrybrown® partnered with mosques, highway rest stops, and transit hubs nationwide to distribute the Bubur Lambuk, reinforcing the brand’s ongoing commitment to giving back to those in need.
The Marrybrown Playland initiative is designed to bring joy and comfort to young Malaysians, transforming public spaces into welcoming, child-friendly environments. Committed to creating engaging and supportive spaces for children, Marrybrown introduced a vibrant and festive play area at the Paediatric Clinic of Kajang Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin Hospital.
Starting today, young visitors to the Paediatric Clinic will have a dedicated space to play, explore, and experience moments of joy. This initiative marks another milestone in Marrybrown’s ongoing commitment to enriching communities, ensuring that every child has a place to smile, play, and feel at ease.
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community and supporting education, Marrybrown Charities Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE), organised a ‘Back-to-School’ donation event to assist underprivileged students in the Kluang District.
Held on 27 February 2025 at SK Dato’ Syed Zain Alshahab, Kluang, Johor, the event saw Marrybrown representatives distributing essential school supplies, including school bags and stationery, ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary tools to support their academic journey.
Following a devastating fire that destroyed 22 homes in Kampung Sentosa Jaya, Sandakan, Marrybrown’s CSR arm, Marrybrown Charity Association, provided assistance on 18 February by distributing essential supplies, including food baskets, hygiene kits, bath towels, and clothing to support families impacted by this tragedy.
Marrybrown remains deeply committed to uplifting community welfare, especially in times of crisis, and will continue to stand by those in need with unwavering care and dedication.
Following a massive fire in Tawau that destroyed 80 houses in Kampung Sri Aman Batu 3 and left numerous families without shelter, Marrybrown’s CSR arm, the Marrybrown Charity Association, responded on 17 February 2025 by visiting Kampung Jati Batu 5 and Kampung Sri Aman Batu 3 to distribute essential supplies including hygiene kits and food supplies to 124 displaced families to rebuild lives in times of crisis.
As an Anak Malaysia brand, Marrybrown remains steadfast in its commitment to uplifting communities in need through its CSR initiatives.
This Chinese New Year, Marrybrown embraced the spirit of giving by bringing warmth and happiness to elderly homes and charitable organisations across Malaysia. Through heartfelt visits and meal sponsorships, we shared the festive joy with over 200 individuals in various homes, treating them to delicious Marrybrown meals??

It’s during these hard times that we need to be there for one another. Today, we partnered with Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia Negeri Kelantan to distribute necessities and MB Meals to those affected by the floods at SK Gong Badak, Kuala Terengganu and Rantau Panjang, Kelantan. Our Marrybrown team stepped up to support flood victims in Pasir Puteh and Jalan Long Yunus yesterday. At MB Pasir Puteh, we served some warm MB Meals at the flood relief centre, bringing comfort to those at SK Kamil 2. Meanwhile, our team from MB Jalan Long Yunus also delivered comforting MB Meals to the Pusat Pengumpulan Sumbangan Mangsa Banjir, joining forces with our local TikTok icon, Khairul Aming. Marrybrown continued its mission to share delicious goodness by uplifting the festive spirits of children at Pusat Jagaan Hembusan Kasih Sayang, Kuantan, during Hari Raya AidilAdha.
Through Marrybrown Charities Association, the company’s charity arm, Marrybrown provided 60 meal sets to the children at the home, ensuring each child received a meal filled with happiness.
Marrybrown is committed to sharing its delicious offerings with Malaysians from all walks of life. Recently, they extended this generosity to the Orang Asli community by sharing some of their MB favourites.
Through its charity arm, Marrybrown Charities Association, Marrybrown sponsored meals for 180 Orang Asli children attending an overnight camp. This camp, organised by Pertubuhan Komuniti Kasih Selangor (PKKS) in Kampung Ruai, Raub, Pahang, is a key part of PKKS’s ongoing efforts to provide educational opportunities to Orang Asli children.

In celebration of the joyous Hari Raya Aidilfitri season, Marrybrown proudly orchestrated a nationwide Open House event, dedicated to spreading festive joy and extending gratitude to the community.
As a token of appreciation, the first 100 customers at each outlet received a complimentary Chicken Burger with every Marrybrown meal purchase. This generous gesture resonated deeply with the community, resulting in an overwhelming response with over 20,000 chicken burgers joyfully distributed across the nation.
As part of International Women’s Day 2024, Marrybrown reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to #InspireInclusion to create a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment for Malaysia’s women community.
In a programme held by Persatuan Ibu Tunggal Kebangsaan Malaysia Parlimen Subang aimed to empower women in career and job opportunities, Marrybrown prepared meals and vouchers for more than 80 single mothers. Marrybrown also demonstrated its support for the community with an RM5,000 donation to the organisation.
Marrybrown, Malaysia’s leading Halal Quick Service Restaurant, is set to distribute over 20,000 servings of bubur lambuk nationwide as part of their MB Kasih Ramadan effort, aimed at fostering a positive community relationship while supporting those in need.
The initiative was kickstarted on 15 March at Masjid Wilayah, attended by Yang Berbahagia Tuan Haji Mohd Ajib bin Ismail, Director of the Federal Territory Islamic Affairs (JAWI) department and will continue until 2 April 2024 across 20 locations nationwide.
Throughout the sacred month of Ramadan, Marrybrown, through its charitable initiative, Marrybrown Charities Association, illuminated the festive ambiance for underprivileged communities in Klang Valley and Kelantan.
Remaining steadfast in its commitment to community welfare, Marrybrown orchestrated Buka Puasa gatherings for beneficiaries hailing from esteemed institutions such as Pusat Jagaan Kesayangan Mumtahanah, Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Dhuafa’ Darul Huffaz, MRC Community Services, Pusat Jagaan Kanak Kanak Yatim / Miskin Rukaiyah, and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Alkausar Bangi.
In addition to offering the exclusive Riang Ramadan Raya menu, Marrybrown further extended its support by presenting symbolic cheques, each amounting to RM1,000 donation, to these organisations, thereby contributing to the well-being of local communities.
The largest homegrown Halal QSR chain, Marrybrown, through its charity arm, Marrybrown Charities Association in collaboration with Malaysia Red Crescent Society (PBSM) donated meals to 160 families at Kampung Orang Asli Mersing, Johor and Kampung Jejulok, Simpangan Tumpat Kelantan that were impacted by the flood in January 2024.

During the event, the orphans feasted on #HidanganKebanggaanKita, Nasi Lemak MB, donated by MB Mydin Tunjong Kelantan, MB Mydin Seremban 2 and MB Mydin Mutiara Rini. The smile on their faces makes this effort extra heartwarming and Marrybrown is committed to help the underserved community where they can.
Working closely with the government to give back to the rakyat has always been instrumental in how Marrybrown operates, especially to provide for those in need. It was an honour to join hands with the Minister of Domestic Trade and Living Costs of Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub to launch Marrybrown Menu Rahmah!
The launch took place at Marrybrown Paradigm Mall JB on Saturday, 25 February 2023 – where apart from the Marrybrown Menu Rahmah, Marrybrown Charities Association also handed over 2,000 pieces of Menu Rahmah vouchers to Encik Mohamad bin Hapil, Director of Social Welfare Department Johor (JKM) which will then be distributed to the underprivileged groups.
With this launch, MB Fans can enjoy two choices of meals which are MB Burger Ayam and MB Nasi Kari that both come with a bottle of Dasani Drinking Water.
Marrybrown Menu Rahmah meals is available for dine-in or takeaway and can be purchased at 12.00pm to 2.00pm and 6.00pm to 8.00pm daily at Marrybrown outlets nationwide.

Our team has headed to elderly homes nationwide and had a wonderful and fruitful reunion lunch with them. Seeing the smiles and hearing their laughter makes this journey worth it.

With a belief in always providing help and support for underprivileged children, single mothers and citizens through various charity events, Marrybrown Charities Association has shared “something different” and delicious from the much-loved MB Meals to 250 Orang Asli children at Kampung Ruai Raub, Pahang. Aged between six to 15 years old, the kids who participated in Pertubuhan Komuniti Kasih Selangor (PKKS)’s overnight camp were treated with MB favourites and yummy crispy chicken.
As one of the initiatives during this holy month of Ramadan, we have taken this opportunity to give out food to underprivileged children at Marrybrown. May this contribution to help lift their spirits and fill them with warmth and joy!
It has been an eventful month of fasting and sharing the joys of the holy month with our dear #MemangBestFans. It was also a busy time for us as we have been handing out free Bubur Ayam MB to the public for their break fast each day. It truly fills us with the warmth and joy that this season brings and we cannot be more grateful for all the support from our dear customers and MB team who did a good job at preparing the meals. Thank you for being part of our Kasih Ramadhan CSR initiative and we hope that the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations will be filled with more blessings to come.
To continue an initiative of celebrating the efforts of our Kakak Riders who worked hard each day, Marrybrown has provided a special International Women’s Day Meal to be given for free. This year’s celebration was also made merrier with Kakak Riders from GrabFood and ShopeeFood joining in alongside Foodpanda Kakak Riders as they have been continuously striving and doing their best to ensure our meals are delivered to us safely. The free meals were available nationwide where Kakak Riders received either a 1-pc MB Crispy Chicken with drink or MB Chicken Burger with drink on the 8th of March 2022. Marrybrown hopes that with this gesture, it will continue to encourage everyone to show appreciation towards these passionate, hardworking ladies and to motivate them to always give it their best to achieve their goals.
In this year of the Tiger, with the current situation now revived with a livelier spirit and family members are now able to reunite with one another, Marrybrown is determined to spread joy and uplift the spirits of all, especially senior citizens who may not be with their loved ones.
This festive season, Marrybrown delivered their seasonal festive meal, Marrybrown Egg-stra ONG to the elderlies in old folks’ homes in Klang Valley and Johor such as Rumah Kasih Charity Home, Setapak; Xiao Xin Serdang Old Folks Home, Serdang; Lovely Nursing Centre and En Yuan Old Folk Home, Petaling Jaya; Pusat Jagaan Warga Tua Pleasure, Johor Bahru; Pusat Penjagaan Warga Tua Seri Orkid, Skudai, Johor and Joyce Old Folks Home Taman Johor and Pandan Old Folks Home, Johor. Apart from the Egg-stra ONG Meals, Marrybrown also donated their local delights, Nasi Lemak MB and Bubur Ayam MB which will bring memorable feelings to the taste buds of the old folks.
This CSR effort is executed under the umbrella of Marrybrown Charities Association. Marrybrown is always imbued with the purpose to provide help and support for underprivileged children, single mothers and citizens through various charity events.
In the midst of Christmas and New Years preparation, Malaysia was struck by the tropical depression on the 16th December 2021, followed by massive floods from across the country. The outcome resulted in destruction of homes, leaving many without shelter, food and necessities. However, it also brought along a heartwarming feeling as we see many Malaysians coming together to lend a helping hand.
To ease the burdens for the victims of the flood, Marrybrown and its franchises such as MB KWC, MB Q Avenue, MB Kipmart Melaka, MB Gua Musang, MB Kuala Krai and MB Teluk Intan and MB Semenyih, had all united together to distribute the MB meals to the victims in the affected areas. We have been proceeding with the flood donations since the day of the event to ensure the safety and comfort of those in need. Apart from that, we had also been working closely with Sunway Group to help distribute the MB Chicken Burgers along with the Family Kits to the flood victims.
We have been striving to ensure that we are putting in our utmost effort to give back to the society with our CSR movements as we believe that our business journey since 1981 would have never prosper without the help from everyone. Thus, it is in our sense of duty as your homegrown fast food chain to help our fellow Malaysians by alleviating the hardships that these people are currently going through in these unprecedented times. We would also like to dedicate our efforts and successes to those who have been continuously supporting us and to our MB heroes who have helped along the way.
